Returns & Refunds Policy

• Return requests must be made within 30 days of delivery

• Varnish is temperature-sensitive — please avoid returning during freezing conditions

Return Window
We accept return requests within 30 days of delivery. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, we’re unable to offer a refund.

To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in the same condition received, and in the original packaging. Proof of purchase is required. Please do not send items back to the manufacturer.


No Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees on any returns.


Two Types of Returns — Who Pays for What

1) Our Error (Incorrect, Damaged, or Defective Item)
If we made a mistake or your item arrived damaged or defective, we’ll make it right.

We will provide a prepaid return shipping label if a return is required.
You will receive a full refund or replacement, as appropriate.

2) Customer-Initiated Returns (Change of Mind or Ordered Incorrect Item)
If you decide to return an item for reasons not related to an error on our part:

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds apply to the product cost only, plus applicable taxes.


Authorization Required
All returns must be authorized in advance and requested within 14 days of delivery.
Please email info@varnishdirect.com before sending any items back. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method. VarnishDirect.com is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.


Cold Weather Return Advisory (Important)
Varnish is a temperature-sensitive liquid.

If freezing temperatures are expected anywhere along the return route, please delay your return.
We strongly recommend thermal packaging and the use of a heat pack.
Varnish that freezes while being shipped back to us cannot be refunded.

If you’re unsure whether conditions are safe for return shipping, contact us first — we’re happy to advise.


Quality & Application Support
Due to the many variables involved in application — such as surface type, preparation, materials used, and technique — we do not offer refunds for unsatisfactory results.

That said, we’re always happy to help troubleshoot and share guidance. If needed, we’ll work directly with the manufacturer to help you achieve the best possible finish.
